About Long Beach

This is just a refresher for those who don't know, and for those who like carrying little bits of trivia around. Knowing or not knowing these things will not necessarily help or harm your Long Beach experience, but we feel that having this kind of information here would generate a little more interest in this place.

Long Beach is in fact a city in Southern California, United States of America. Part of California's Los Angeles County, we would also like to add that Long Beach is in fact connected to an actual beach (you have no idea how many people actually doubt that little bit of information), being on the Pacific Coast and all. The fact that it is not too far away from the best Southern California attractions, the current favorite of which is Orange County. doesn't hurt either, though Long Beach holds up well on its own.

Long Beach is currently the thirty-sixth largest city in the United States and plays home to one of the largest shipping ports in the world – the Port of Long Beach (which can be considered an attraction in itself when watched from afar), a center of high technology, and a popular set location for movie and television filming.
